In a nutshell, Kickstarter is very simple for the buyer. Just follow the link above, click "Back This Project", choose which reward option you'd like(1 game, 2 games, custom wood box edition, etc.), create an account with an email or Facebook, then put in a credit card. Done! But, you must make your pre-order before May 20th when our funding campaign ends. We must reach our funding goal by May 20th(if we do not, your card is not charged). You will not only lock in your pre-order before our deadline on May 20th but you will be a direct supporter and integral part of making this game a reality! The Kickstarter campaign will serve as an organized platform for different reward tier options that include an early buyer discount off the eventual retail price of the game, multiple quantity orders, retailer orders and exclusive Kickstarter only items. This crowd funding campaign will be the key to Paradise-Opoly finalizing design and artwork, getting the game sent to manufacturing and fulfilling all orders with free shipping(if we reach that stretch funding goal, explained below).
HOW TO BUY(PLEDGE) AND UNDERSTANDING REWARD TIERS
First, click the link above or below and it will take you to our project page. Explore the project and the different pledge options and when you've decided click on "Back this project" near the top. Select the reward tier you would like and input your desired pledge amount. If you feel like giving a little extra with your pledge, you may do so, but are not inclined. I truly appreciate every pledge! If you are not already signed in or have an account with Kickstarter, it will prompt you to sign in or create an account. It is very simple and fast to sign up. Either enter your name and email, or log in with Facebook. Once you've done that you can input your credit card information and submit your pledge!
The Kickstarter is broken down into separate reward tiers where you need to pledge a minimum amount, but not limited to that amount, to receive that "reward" once the project is successfully funded and produced. You will pledge your amount to the project and only when the project has reached its deadline, and is fully funded, will your credit card be charged. At the time of pledging you may, however, see a small, temporary verification charge placed on your card. After the project deadline has ended and the project is funded, the creator will send out "Kickstarter Surveys" to anyone whom additional information, such as shipping info or charges(if applicable), will be collected. Then, you just have to sit back and wait for your game to arrive!
If you plan on pledging for more than one game(up to 5) please select the appropriate tier for that quantity you would like. It is not possible on Kickstarter to select multiple quantity of a single reward tier or select more than one tier, that is why I made the separate tiers. I knew a lot of you were going to want more than one so I made it easier. If you want to order more than 5 games you can select the 5 quantity tier then select more games as an add-on. More about add-ons below.
**Note: You can only choose one reward tier per Kickstarter account. If you really want to pledge to more than one tier, like a Custom Wood Box and the Lunch with the Creator tier, you would need to register a separate account to do both. Keep in mind each reward tier comes with a copy of the game so you will be receiving a game with each tier ordered. Also, if you ever need to change your pledge tier, you can do so while the project is still active up until 24 hours until the ending time.
UNDERSTANDING STRETCH GOALS
Our initial funding goal for the project is set at $88,000, but, we need to exceed that. That $88,000 will pay for the development of the game and for manufacturing a base version with 6 metal game pieces, some standard card stocks and utilizing lesser detailed wooden versions of the Miner's Tent and Log Cabin. This will be a good version of the game, but not what I originally envisioned or wanted for a final product. In order to get the premium features and upgrades to this game we need to exceed our goal and reach several Stretch Goals aimed at improving the game and giving each project backer more for their money. With each achieved stretch goal we will upgrade a part of the game and include that upgrade with EVERY game made. It's up to you, the backers, to help us make the best game possible! Below will be listed the separate Stretch Goals and what they unlock.
Original Funding Goal: $88,000 - Basic Core Game
The project funding goal will cover the cost of the development and production of the game for 3000 units. This version of the game will include 6 custom metal player pawns, standard card elements using 300 gsm glossy paper stock and basic wood shapes for the Miner's Tents and Log Cabins.
Stretch Goal 1: $110,000 - Miner's Tent and Log Cabin Upgrade
By reaching this stretch goal the game will be upgraded to include high quality and high detail plastic injection molded Miner's Tents and Log Cabins instead of wooden pieces with basic shapes. These will be included in all core games if this stretch goal is reached.
Stretch Goal 2: $115,000 - Premium Card Upgrade
With this stretch goal reached all the Property Deed cards and Roll of the 'Dise and Gold Rush draw cards will be printed on a premium quality linen card stock. Also, all cards will be printed in full color instead of the draw cards being black and white.

Stretch Goal 3: $125,000 - Additional Metal Player Pawns
If we reach this stretch goal we will be able to upgrade the core game to include two additional custom metal player pawns. These additional pawns were carefully selected to be extra exclusive to the Paradise culture. It's tough enough fighting over your favorite game piece with only 6 available, we need to reach this stretch goal so these awesome game pieces can be a part of the game forever.
Stretch Goal 4: $160,000 - FREE SHIPPING on All Orders of 5 Quantity or Less
Nobody wants to pay shipping, put it on us! If we reach the $160,000 stretch goal we will be able to provide free shipping to all orders of 5 quantity or less. This includes retail orders at the 5 quantity level.
*Sorry, but free shipping will not be available to Alaska or Hawaii.
UNDERSTANDING ADD-ONS
With Add-ons, you can add additional items not available in the normal project reward tiers. These may change throughout the campaign. So, look out for updates on when those will be added. If a new add-on is added after you have already pledged, don't worry, you can still update your pledge with those add-ons later. These add-ons will be so you can add additional games after 5 quantity and will feature some fun limited edition swag.

Have a million questions about how this game was made? Pledge $325 or more and get a personal lunch date with the creator of Paradise-Opoly, Tanner Stauss. You'll go out to a nice restaurant or anywhere of your choice anywhere in Butte County. Get an inside scoop on details of the development of the game, community involvement, building a business aimed at philanthropy and anything else you'd like to talk about. Meals will be paid for up to 3 people but invite as many as you'd like. Take an opportunity to pick the creators brain and get some ideas for your next big great project or just tell him about your day!
Your details will be gathered during the backer survey period and I'll directly communicate with you about setting up the date. You can choose to meet any time during the final design and production phase or after the initial product launch. A signed copy of the game is included so you'll have the option of me personally delivering it to you during our meeting.
